Bore
The term “Bore” means pre-drilling a cabinet
door for hinges to insert them in the door and hang it on the cabinet.
Our boring standard is the European type.
It is a cup hole size 35mm, 1 3/8” in diameter and
about ½” in depth. It will have two little holes for the dowels. If you don’t
want those little holes, you will need to instruct to be “Bore for Screw in”,
then will have only the large 35mm cup hole.
The boring placement is compatible with most
hinge suppliers.
It can be Left or Right, and it’s based on looking
at front of the door. Pair is when you order two doors same size, one is Left
and the other is Right.
Standard location is 3” from the top of the door
to the center of the hole, 3” from the bottom of the door to the center of the
hole, and 1/8” from the edge of the door to the hole.
See picture for reference and details.
